Opus Composition Festival is a competitive event designed to encourage students to create and write music. The Opus Composition Festival promotes creativity and educates students in the art and craft of musical composition.
All students who enter receive a special certificate of participation, a ribbon, and a judge's comment sheet.
1st place winners in each age category receive the following:
· The opportunity for his/her composition to be played at the IMTA State Conference.
· IMTA will reimburse the application fee for the student to be entered in the MTNA Composition Competition. Note: IMTA will not reimburse any non-member teacher fees.
